St Mark’s church was built by James Erasmus Methley in 1853 and was at first a Methodist Church taken over by the Anglicans at a later stage.

St Mark’s was used by the Karkloof Carbineers as a Headquarters during the Zulu wars.   Services are held on the first Sunday of each month at 9.00am.
